AFTER YOU KILL ME LET ME BREATHE

tina douaihy

“Please” I don’t feel like begging but please love me

“please” I can taste my blood running away

But please say “Those words harm me”

Crave the waves you would’ve understood in one of my dreams heartedly loaded

Drown me in love and wake me up bloated

But after please break me the way you break your own art

Waking up to a “I’m just you” conversation with a cold heart

Two knees sore yet on the ground

Crying can’t seem to understand “Speak but don’t make a sound”

Pleading eyes but you swallow what you feed

Kill me

Just be in time to save me “Please”

I am a 15 year old Lebanese girl with a huge passion for writing. It all started by writing poems to my english teachers every thursday to creating my very first self-published prose poetry book that recieved recognition. Currently, I finished my debut novel “The Words I Wish I Could Hug”.
